An initiative group of citizens from Rila 14 street, Svishtov received financing on Local initiatives program of Svishtov municipality on project for improvement of their life environment. The project goal is to clean the neighborhood, construction of a relaxation spot, placing benches and baskets for hard scraps and mounting parapets to all stairs. The project which is implemented with the volunteer work of the neighborhood inhabitants is significant with that it will strengthen the civic participation in the solution of local problems relevant to the improvement of life environment.

In early July, 2004 the Montana Municipal Council, in implementation of Ministry of Education and Science s Strategy on the Educational Integration of Children and Students from the Ethnic Minorities in the Republic of Bulgaria, adopted a Plan for Educational Integration of Children and Students of Roma Origin. The plan is for the 2004 - 2008 period and includes commitments on behalf of the local authorities in Montana to solve the educational problems of the Roma children in the municipality.

Dobrich town municipality is the only Bulgarian municipality, which elaborated and in the moment implements Program for realization of public utilities enterprises on objects municipal property, with the participation of the citizens of Dobrich. In the elaboration of the program the municipal administration attended the idea to create real preconditions for civil community formation, and together with the implementation of the mechanism of public-private partnership citizens to take part in the construction and supporting of the public spaces parks, gardens, pavements, squares and others by their own means /as co-financing/ or with their labor.
The program has been accepted by the Municipal counsel of Dobrich town municipality with a Resolution in January, 2005.

This is a project of an initiative group of citizens for reconstruction and improvement of a deserted open-air kindergarten, built 20 years ago. The usual practice in the last few years is to install new devices and equipment in the process of construction of such objects, in contradiction from here where were disjointed and manually added children s climbing devices.

The monument of the 33rd Svishtov regiment, which is now ruining in the yard of the former military section in Svishtov was moved to the center of the town and renewed. In this way one Bulgarian relic was saved.

The Bulgarian, Mrs. Dobra Nedyalkova donated a large sum of money for preservation of Christian churches and monasteries in the town of Svishtov. With her personal resources were repaired monasteries "Uspenie Bogorodichno and St. Petar and Pavel". Mrs. Nedyalkova made a donation and for RSPAB Svishtov, the chapel "St. Prophet Ilia" in the yard of the fire station. Thanks to her generous donation gesture entirely was renewed the oldest church in Svishtov "St. Dimiter".

The practice One Europe Many Cultures is part of the program for celebration of the Day of Europe 2004. The main ideas set up in the program were supporting the affiliation of the citizens of the Municipality of Sliven to the idea of a United Europe; the celebration of the Day of Europe becoming one of the traditional holidays in the municipality under the motto "European days in Sliven 2004 a tradition with future". The accent was on the variety of cultures in United Europe.

The practice "The Bulgarian village European challenges and perspectives" is part of the program for celebration of the Europe Day in the Municipality of Sliven 2004, dedicated to the people coming from the little villages in the municipality.
