The civil campaign for saving the monument of the 33^rd Svishtov regiment ended successfully. Thanks to the joint efforts of the local authority and civilians the patriotic act was brought to an end. After the necessary resources were gathered the monument was disassembled and renewed. Its official opening is dated for September 22, when Bulgaria celebrates the Independence Day. By this patriotic deed the citizens of Svishtov fulfilled their duty towards the memory of all the soldiers from the Dunabe town, who died for the Liberty of our mother country and proved to be worthy their heirs.
