On the occasion of the past one year government the mayor of Botevgrad municipality Georgi Georgiev arranged meetings with the population of each commune.

The meetings were arranged in the libraries of each municipality Trudovets, Vrachesh, Skravena, Litakovo, Novachene. At the meetings participation took directors of municipal firms, head of RPU and others.

The interest of citizens of the municipality was significant having in mind the rooms full with people at meetings. Clear, precise and consecutive the mayor introduced all those present what was done through the past year, referring to concrete objects and facts of the municipality activities in each place. People posed questions and received adequate answers instantly. They reminded many pre-election promises of the present mayor and to a great satisfaction significant percent of them were stated to be kept.

• At the meeting was established a close contact with all those present;
• The municipal guidance was satisfied by the interest of these meetings and people s reaction to them fulfilled the expectations that this is an useful practice for direct opinion exchange;
• A contact was established with citizens, which so far had been passive and non-committed to the problems of the municipality. The municipal guidance learned about issues, which has not been posed till that moment;
• By his concrete report and clearly expressed self-criticism, the mayor showed that he is opened for opinions and recommendations, for suggestions and innovations;
• People already have free access to the guidance of the municipality and each can suggest what he finds useful for the government of the municipality;
• We reached to the conclusion that every next year should be arranged that kind of meeting, where the guidance of Botevgrad municipality could synchronize its intentions with the inhabitants of the municipality.
