The Municipality of Montana is working on a project for putting into operation energy economizing measures in the VIII Secondary School Otetz Paisii, financed by the International fund Kozlodoui on a pilot project Energy Efficiency in State and Public Buildings - health services, education and culture. The conditions in the school would be improved and economies would be realized in an extent of 50% per year.

For over 20 years the Municipality of Sliven has experienced the need to build a new coach station. The municipal management faced with the need to seek alternative financial sources, proposed to the Municipal Council to contract a survey of the possibilities for Sliven to emit municipal bonds. The survey was conducted by the contractor Status Invest AD - Sofia, selected according to the procedures of the Public Procurement Law. On the basis of the results obtained the Municipal Council took a decision for the emission of municipal bonds, defined its parameters and the lines of expenditures.
