Municipality of Kozlodui became the winner of the FLGR 2009 Innovative Municipality Contest!
Practices gathered between March 2008 and 25 May 2009 participated the last FLGR National Contest Innovative Municipality.
During the 14 months 90 innovative practices were uploaded in the FLGR online data base of innovative practices of Bulgarian municipalities and their socio-economic partners. They were realized on the territory of 29 municipalities.
65% of the practices were presented by NGOs that carried them out.
From 16 municipalities came one practice each.
From 6 municipalities came two practices each.
From 4 municipalities came three practices each.
9 practices came from the Municipality of Yablanitsa.
10 practices had been carried out in the Municipality of Sofia.
31 one practices were presented by Municipality of Kozlodui.
With this input Municipality of Kozlodui became the winner of the FLGR 2009 Innovative Municipality Contest!
For the eleventh year in a row, FLGR encourages, collects, publishes and disseminates Innovative Practices. The Innovative Practices Project started in September 1998 with the financial support of the Open Society Institute - Budapest and the United State Agency for International Development. This unique project provides a forum for the exchange of experience and has proved to be a sustainable model for collecting and disseminating innovative practices within Bulgarian local government system.
From 2002 FLGR conducts Innovative Practices competitions on different topics and awards its Annual Innovative Municipality Award to municipalities that shared the most innovative practices within the current year.
