During the new government s mandate (2003 2007) participation in the preparation of Bulgaria for joining the EU is a priority of the Municipality of Sliven. The Municipality of Sliven and the Foundation for Regional Development of Sliven are partners, convinced that for the successful integration of Bulgaria in United Europe there is a need of a big common discussion, informing the citizens and the institutions on every level about the challenges, priorities and obligations coming from our membership with the EU. This practice is a result of the successful realization of project Europe in the Sliven region tradition with future , funded under the Program Europe 2003 of the Delegation of the European Commission and its implementation is expected during the next year.

In the framework of the project an information meeting is planned, discussing the Information networks within the frontiers of the EU a way of use . At the meeting will present representatives of organizations, working on European integration and European programs in Sliven and the region, who will establish the regional network Euroaccents. The stages of realization of the practice include:

- Preparation of the program for carrying out information meetings;

- Carrying out information meetings within 3 hours lecture, coffee break, signing of a protocol and a program for cooperation for the participants in the network.

Through this network everyone could give and receive information about the other members and their work. The established conditions for the carrying out of traditional meetings and exchange and the spread of objective information about the EU between the representatives of local and regional authorities, organizations and other local communities will help the creation of working models for partnership.

The established regional network Euroaccents would be a sustainable structure with a potential possibility for better communication, effectiveness and possibility for united work in the domain of the Eurointegration Practice in the work of local, regional authorities and organizations from Sliven and the region.
