The integration of nature and historic tourist resources of the region in sustainable tourist product "Belogradchik – nature and traditions" increased the number of the tourists in Belogradchik municipality. Incomes from tourist services consigning raised by 20%. The quality of tourist information services have been improved by the created project materials. New category of tourists – fans of extreme experiences is attracted.

The municipality of Shoumen has created Bulgaria s first Advisory Council for the management of its international relationships through the Sister Cities (United States) and Town Twinning (Europe) programs. This Council is comprised of a diverse selection of non-municipal and municipal members, including minority, NGO, and business sectors. This Council is an attempt to better distribute and locate exchange programs with international partners, and then to promote these relations throughout Shoumen.

Svishtov municipality develops cooperation with ethnic Bulgarians in the Romanian towns Zimnich and Aleksandria. On February 2, 2005 delegation from Svishtov guests to the traditional holiday Trifon Zarezan in the Romanian towns. The delegation was lead by the mayor of Svishtov municipality Stanislav Blagov and the chairman of the Municipal counsel Dr. Andrey Zahariev. With the hosts were discussed possibilities for preparation of joint projects and future fraternizing between villages in Svishtov municipality and Romanian villages, where live ethnic Bulgarians.

Visit from representatives of the Association of the friends of the Dunabe river from Ulm, Germany to the town of Svishtov. The Association has a tradition to organize trips on the Dunabe river with direction the town of Ulm. This year it is realized under the title of Sailing to the Black sea 2005. During the stay of the guests in Svishtov they met representative group of the municipality, guided by Mr. Plamen Aleksandrov, deputy-mayor Social and integration policy . In the process of the conversations were defined their future joint activities for establishing useful partnership between Ulm, Germany and the town of Svishtov.

The main goal of the team in the implementation of this project was to use various means to promote the Europe Day among the residents of the municipality, and in the longer run, to establish this day as a traditional holiday in the city. The project targeted children, teachers, students, business representatives, agricultural producers, representatives of cultural communities and journalists; the purpose was to provide more comprehensive information to the public, in order to effect positive changes in attitudes and to form a new European mindset.

The project aims to promote the European idea among the young people at local level. A school Eurocenter was established, providing information and services in the field of European integration. 50 young people completed trainings on the EU expansion process. Youth Eurodays were held, where more than 300 participants discussed the role of the citizens in the accession process. A 30-minute documentary video was filmed. Three youth newsletters were published and disseminated.
