The Municipality of Dobrich City and the Hristo Botev General Education School, Dobrich partnered in using attractive and mutually complementing projects to make children and parents party to the idea of Bulgaria's European integration and to build young people's confidence of Europeans.

Dobrich town municipality is the only Bulgarian municipality, which elaborated and in the moment implements Program for realization of public utilities enterprises on objects municipal property, with the participation of the citizens of Dobrich. In the elaboration of the program the municipal administration attended the idea to create real preconditions for civil community formation, and together with the implementation of the mechanism of public-private partnership citizens to take part in the construction and supporting of the public spaces parks, gardens, pavements, squares and others by their own means /as co-financing/ or with their labor.

The program has been accepted by the Municipal counsel of Dobrich town municipality with a Resolution in January, 2005.

In 2005 Svishtov municipality pays deserved tribute to life and work of one prominent citizen of Svishtov from the Revival Dr. Georgi Atanasovich, which is the first minister of education in Bulgaria after the Liberation. On May, 24 in Svishtov will be unveiled a monument of Dr. Atanasovich. After resolution of the municipal counsel in December, 23, 2004 one of the schools in Svishtov already brings his name.

On January 12, 13, 2005 the Svishtov community fetes the 142 anniversary of the birth of its fellow-citizen the writer Aleko Konstantinov. During the fete for a first time was presented the new English edition of the Aleko's popular travel notes "To Chicago and back". This work is translated into English for a first time.

At the eve of year 2005 the municipal guidance in Botevgrad decided to break the tradition of celebrating Christmas holidays only in the center of the town, where the traditional Christmas tree is decorated and organized Christmas festivity in all suburban neighborhoods.

Establishment of a contemporary cabinet for work and creation in Dimitar Blagoev Secondary school in reply to heightened criteria and requirements of the students. The project was approved on program Local initiatives of Svishtov municipality.

For a second year in a row in Botevgrad municipality has been organized an exhibition of the art of painting under the heading Botevgrad townscapes 2005 .

The exhibition aims to stimulate the interest in participants of the country and abroad for natural, architecture and culture landmarks in Botevgrad provoking the interest in the locals for the art of painting. To create works which show the beauty of our region and to complete the collection in the picture gallery. The successful realization of the exhibition deepened the contacts between the participants and the exchange of creative ideas.

Under the sign of the 135^th anniversary of the First theatrical performance in Svishtov and the 150^th anniversary of the establishment of the First Bulgarian community center "Elenka i Kiril D. Avramovi" in Svishtov took place the First in the country National festival of the amateur coffee-theatres. The event is officially inserted in the culture calendar of the municipality. The ambition of the organizers is the festival to become yearly and to be inserted in the national culture calendar.

The chairman of the Municipal counsel in Svishtov suggested and the local parliament constituted yearly money prize after the name of the first Bulgarian finance minister after the liberation Grigor Nachovich. The prize will be to the amount of 300lv. And it will be given to a student from the Economic academy "Dimitar Apostolov Tsenov".

On community center Svetlina 1911 initiative and with the support of many people from the village was formed ethnographic exposition for material culture, economic life and the customs in the village from the beginning of the 19^th century till today.
