In Botevgrad and its region are situated various objects of culture and art heritage cultural monuments of national and local significance, monasteries (Vracheshki, Zelin), churches, villages with architecture heritage of the past, nature sights (Zelin, Bojenitsa), historical fortresses (Urvich, Babin grad), Bebresh dam lake and other interesting spots, which could be an object of creative interest to the artists.

All this provoked us to create an organization for presenting the first exhibition of the art of painting in 2004.

Organizers of the exhibition are Botevgrad municipality with the mayor in charge, municipal firms and citizens.

In the exhibition took part artists invited by the organizers conforming to a certain quota. The participation of young people of the municipality is also advisable. In the exhibition can also take part artists who are not members of the UBA but though have the approval of the society for their work.

The exhibition has been presented by program, which the participants are obliged to observe.

Organizers provide preliminarily settled fees.

Participants present two oil-paintings as each donates one of them to the organizers.

Artists can participate with other paintings too, as aquarelle, graphics, pastel which can also donate to the organizers.

Organizers insure the participants in the exhibition with Accident insurance for the time of their participation.

• In all the works were represented the city architecture and culture of Botevgrad;
• Guests from abroad were very impressed;
• Local citizens were also interested because they could see many of the artists working outdoors;
• In the second exhibition took part sponsors, who were intrigued by the exhibition that took place in 2004.
