On April 20, 2006, the Evaluation Committee met at a session within the administered by FLGR Fund for Support to Initiatives of Professional Associations. The following organizations are approved for funding:

- National City Secretaries Association;

- National Association Legal Initiative for Local Government;

- Association of PR Specialists in Municipalities.

The main goal of the Fund is to enhance the capacity of local governments which complies with Strategic goal 2.3. of USAID effective and responsible local government.

The project proposals address the following subjects:

1. Improving transparency of local governments;
2. Limiting barriers for business at local level;
3. Improving local legal framework (incl. regulation and license procedures in municipalities)
4. Improving capacity of municipal experts;
5. Improving and diversifying the scope of services, provided by the associations to their members.
