In the period from 8 to 10 July the FLGR team carried out training for local coordinators and in the period from 16 to 18 July 2009 - training for local assessment groups with the goal to carry out pilot testing of a Methodology for good governance principle application at local level. 

The FLGR experts elaborated the methodology, commissioned by the National Ombudsman. Representatives of 20 pilot municipalities took part in the trainings.

In the period 20-25 July in every of the pilot municipalities the local assessment groups had their working meeting. With the assistance of FLGR experts in every municipality 2 good governance principles were tested and propositions for improvement of the proposed methodology were elaborated.

On the 30 of July 2009 the FLGR experts presented the national Ombudsman with the final version of the Methodology for assessment of application of good governance principles at local level in Bulgaria.
