The first work meeting was on "Examining opportunities for participation of both municipalities in implementing Measure 4.3 of the National Operative Program Regional Development". Within the forum, Venelina Chervenkova, chief expert in strategic programming of regional policy in the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, acquainted participants with logic and content of the operative program by setting-up a basis for future work within the forum process.

Through discussion the forum confirmed the concrete opportunities for joint project initiatives that are to be a part of the integrate plan for development of both municipalities.

The ultimate goal of the forum process is Bolyarovo and Strladja to create joint development plan that integrates project ideas of mutual interest for both municipalities in the field of physical, social and business infrastructure, information and communication technologies. The action plan will have potential for funding within the Operative Program Regional Development.
