On 16 and 17 February 2008 in the framework of the Improving Bulgarian Local Government Integrity Project in Sofia a training was held for the representatives of the local action groups from the 9 pilot municipalities: Kozlodui, Kardzhali, Mezdra, Montana, Pazardzhik, Pamagiurishte, Sliven, Sofia and Veliko Tarnovo.

The participants in the training prioritized the problems at local level, concerning integrity. Working in small groups they proposed strategy and an action plan for the several next months according to the specifics of each municipality.

Among the lecturers were Theodora Gandova, NGO Links, and Antoaneta Tsoneva, Public Environment Development Institute.

With great interest the participants welcomed the practical input of the Dutch experts - Mr. Henk Kool, Vice Mayor of Den Haag, and Mr. Leo van der Wielen, Integrity Bureau of Amsterdam.
