The newspapers "Construction/City" and "Dnevnik" and the Foundation for Local Government Reform will held a conference, entitled "Infrastructural projects, Bulgaria 2007 – status and perspectives" (15 March, 2007, Sofia). The event is part of the annual Bulgarian construction week.

Ministers, deputy ministers from the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Environment & Waters, Ministry of Finance, regional governors, mayors, deputy mayors, chairmen of municipal councils, managers of leading companies, representatives of universities, business organizations, renowned experts in the infrastructure from Bulgaria and abroad will participate the conference.

The main themes to be discussed are:

• Rational solutions for management and improvement of infrastructure
• Wastewater treatment plants under ISPA – characteristics and weaknesses. Specifics in carrying out infrastructural projects
• Interaction between landscape planning and the development of infrastructure in the municipalities
• Stages and preparation of an infrastructural project in the context of the EU Structural Funds – characteristics and practices
