The highest mark for our work we received when we were accepted in the European women's lobby, established in 1990, which is NGO, unifying over 4000 women s organizations in Europe. Our mission is to work together in order to achieve equality of rights of men and women, to suppress all forms of discrimination towards women, observance of women s human rights, to eradicate violence towards women and to ensure inclusion of the equality of the sexes in all the policies in the European Union.

The European women s lobby has a statute of observer in the Consultative committee for equal possibilities of men and women in the European commission, and also consultative statute in the Counsel of Europe and in the Economic and Social Counsel for Europe of the UNO.

Our activity is purposed to ensure transparency and central place in the political process of the EU of the issue about the equality in rights of men and women, as we work through our members on national level, and also directly with the European institutions, which take decisions, in order to influence for the elaboration of new policies to achieve equality.

Bulgarian European woman is an organization, ready to help Svishtov municipality to solve the problems of people unable to work. We elaborated and won project People of not equal status in Svishtov municipality equivalent, informed and ready for the forthcoming membership in EU to the Program for local initiatives. The project gives the possibility people of not equal status to equip their office with two computers, printer and internet connection, regarding their communication with national and international organizations of disabled people.

We elaborated the projects:

• Heightening the information of women from the local and regional community for forthcoming EU membership
• Equal possibilities and partnership between the members the European test for Bulgarian democracy.

Bulgarian European woman association aims to help in the solution of actual problems of women and to eradicate of the society s conscious the view that woman is a personality with less intellectual potential of man. The Association works, even though only on the territory of Svishtov municipality for equal possibilities of women when they start a new job. Our opinion in the governing organs should be observed, because after the entering of Bulgaria in the EU by the place of women in the social and political life could be estimated our level of development and civilization.
