The practice is aimed at the elderly people from the small settlements in the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and is based on complex methods of crime prevention and reduction of the risk of social exclusion.

The "With Tundzha in the heart" platform unites the efforts of the local community in the 44 settlements of the municipality to solve important public issues through partnerships and positive constructive dialogue. It encourages and supports the involvement of local structures, organizations and business representatives in initiatives that provide for tangible and lasting change in the living conditions.

The overall aim of the project is conservation and management of the biological diversity in Eminska Mountain through conservation activities, ecological education and popularization of sustainable tourist practices.

The administration of both municipalities made great progress towards fulfilling one of their main goals – protection and conservation of natural resources on the territory and closing of the unregulated dumps. In the field of waste management, local policy has complied with the EU regulations.

The Municipality of Svishtov has engaged in facilitating the use of the municipal administrative services. In coordination with this promise, given to citizens and local businesses, the internet site of the municipality created a new section E-Municipality . It provides information and schedules for citizens and juridical persons that lead to increasing the effectiveness of the citizens-municipality interaction.

In the period 08.06 23.06.2005 in Home for old people Svishtov was constructed sun installation for water heating.

During the winter period at lower intensity of sun shining is provided a possibility for heaters accumulators to be warmed up by a caldron installation.

In the period for exploitation of sun collectors can be economized about 44 688 kW/h of energy yearly in conditions of sunny weather. Expected year economies in leva for prize of energy at 0.132 lv./KWh are about 5898,82 lv.

FLGR and the American experts helped the Municipality prepare special incentives for the Japanese company , which was planning to invest EUR 25 million and to create some 2,700 jobs by 2009. The permitting and registration process was accelerated; individual administrative services were provided by the local economic development specialist; assistance in workforce selection and training was rendered; the municipal leadership supported Yazaki by amending public transport routes and by representing the company before the different institutions. Following a year of negotiations and multiple meetings , provision of information and cooperation by municipal leadership , the investor decided to locate in Yambol .
