There are three newspapers, two cable televisions, three radio stations and one Internet newspaper (the newest practice) on the territory of the Municipality of Pazardjik. The big national daily papers also have their correspondents presented. At least nine reporters attend the regular weekly press conferences of the municipal management. After the municipal radio station Pazardjik stopped broadcasting, the municipal management decided to start publishing the municipal weekly enclosure Pazardjik. The town and the municipality . The main reason for the decision is the necessity of presenting the work of the Municipality simply informative, with no political influence or subordination to any kind of conjuncture. The message of the issue is: The municipality serves the people. It should work for them and protect the public interest. Does our municipality really do that?! .

The first municipal weekly supplement was published on April 19, 2002. Until the end of the same year, it was issued by Videlina newspaper. Since January 1, 2003, the enclosure was added to Zname newspaper too. The expansion lead to modification in the way of preparation. The chief expert of Public Affairs at the Municipality of Pazardjik took the task. The articles are prepared by the experts of Public Affairs of the Municipality and the Municipal Council with the help of a technical assistant, official at the Municipality. Since February, 2003, the third daily paper Pazardjishka Maritsa published the enclosure as well, and in March it also found place an the pages of the Pazardjik Internet newspaper Pa media . This way, the municipal weekly enclosure Pazardjik. The town and the municipality has found its place in all four local newspapers. In March and April, the local radio stations Oberon , Almateia , and Dej expressed their will to participate in the project. All three started broadcasting a special edition of municipal news every Friday.

The enclosure informs about the events of the past week, giving the first page for the news from the last couple of days or for an important event of the week. Third page is left for interviews, divided in two categories About the administration and About the mayors . The series About the administration presents the work of the different municipal departments and divisions. The series About the mayors consists of interviews with the mayor and the deputy mayors of the municipality, the mayors of the villages, including also interviews with so far 31 deputy-mayors. The innovative element of the practice is above all in the realized idea for offering enough information about the work of the Municipality as an institution in the favor of the citizens and all other institutions.

As a part of the PR activity of the Municipality of Pazardjik, the municipal weekly edition evokes bigger and bigger interest among the citizens of the municipality. The Internet edition now have seven times more readers than in the beginning, including readers from abroad USA, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and many more. The daily interaction between the municipal officials and the citizens of the municipality offers the opportunity for the team members to follow the interest towards the edition and constantly consider the evaluation it receives. Numerous specialists, working in the information sector, also rate the supplement very highly.
