The idea for the organization of the Historical meeting generated after an initiative of the association, which was implemented at the National celebrations May, 3 th. At this occasion youths prepared, by themselves, brochures with the description of municipality history and distributed them among the local schools. Every school received flag and CD with renaissance music. The initiative was very successful and received wide response among the local community. That provoked youths to up-grade the initiative and they prepared a project to the Ministry of youth and sport, in which one of the activities was the organization of such meeting.
Within a month youths reconstructed the premise conceded for the project s implementation and gathered interesting documents from State archive Montana, which illustrate life in the municipality since its establishment in 1910 till now. There were found very interesting materials about the origin of villages within the range of the municipality, and also was printed very nice brochure. Thanks to the assistance of older people were gathered characteristic of the North-west region ethnographic models dresses, objects and others. The Historical meeting was officially opened during the municipality celebrations, by the municipality mayor Mr. Stefcho Georgiev. He greeted the youths for their enthusiasm and work and emphasized on the statement that young people are the future of every town or village and this is the reason why Boichinovci municipality will always support such initiatives, proposed by the youths. At the official opening presented all the mayors of towns and villages in the municipality, municipal counselors and citizens.
Engaging young people in such an initiative proves how strong can be the tradition and how it can unite the local community. The fact that youths themselves organized the meeting shows how much they love and honor their native town and country.
