Every year the Municipality organizes local cleaning and landscaping activities as part of the International Earth Day. This year the Municipality selected a playground in deplorable condition. The playground is adjacent to the medical clinic and is a natural center of one of the most populated neighborhoods in the town.

Under the initiative , the young people in Boichinovtsi used own materials and labor to reconstruct and paint the playground s fence . The area was thoroughly cleaned and planted with decorative shrubs, trees and flowers.

The youth continued to keep the playground in good condition even after the end of the initiative. This served to prove not only the effectiveness of the youth idea, but also that the young people sincerely love their town and are willing to work together with different institutions to improve the urban environment. In the implementation of the initiative the Municipality partnered with the Future for Boichinovtsi Youth Association.

The initiative transformed the playground from an empty and badly kept place into a pretty place for recreation and games. A kiosk is planned to be installed in one of the playground s corners. The implementation of this idea generated good ideas for the improvement of the green areas and the parks in the town.
