FLGR organized a meeting of USAID missions representatives for Central and Eastern Europe on the topic of Local Economic Development in East Europe. Successful Strategies. The conference was initiated by International City Managers Association, Washington, USA and was held on January 23-27, 2005, Sofia.

Participants had the opportunity to visit two Bulgarian municipalities - Pleven and Pazardjik - and observed best practices from Bulgarian municipalities.

Results of Local Economic Development and Marketing of Bulgarian Municipalities Project were presented by Ginka Kapitanova, Executive Director of FLGR.
