In January 2006 started the Improving the Administrative Services in the City of Sofia Project. The project is initiated by the US Embassy in Bulgaria, Sofia Municipality and FLGR.
The project is implemented with the financial and consultative support of FLGR. It aims at establishing official channels for exchange of data and information on-line between Sofia Municipality and 3 administrative districts of Sofia Vazrazhdane District, Student Town District and Mladost District. Project activities are:
1. Building on the four administrative information systems by establishing administrative service centers or by improving quality of providing administrative services in already established centers
2. Establishing modern technological information and communication infrastructure
3. Developing and disseminating information using different methods: information desks, services catalogs, brochures, application forms and feedback inquiries, redesign of already existing websites
4. Implementing advocacy campaigns for improving administrative services by holding press conferences, work meetings with municipal experts, exchange of experience with other municipalities, customers feedback
