On March 18, 2011, Friday, in Knezha municipality was held a public discussion whose purpose was to determine a significant public service (provided by the municipality) to be monitored by citizens.
The discussion was opened by the mayor Mr. Simeon Sharabanski and Mr. Zdravko Sechkov, CEO of FLGR. The discussion attracted the attention of over 50 participants.
In the beginning the services Knezha municipality offered to its citizens were presented. Participants were acquainted with the results of a survey of satisfaction among business community in public services and some methods for monitoring the quality of services by citizens.
After the discussion on choice of service, participants addressed the two services: 1. Maintenance of municipal roads and street network; and 2. Home social patronage (everyday hot meal for lonely elderly persons).
The two methodologies to monitor the both services are to be drawn.
The Public discussion was held within the project " Citizen Monitoring towards Effective Management of Public Resources”.
Municipalities of Kyustendil, Gotse Delchev and Knezha partner FLGR in the realization of the project.
