Under the motto "During the crisis invest in yourself!" FLGR announced yet one more Distance learning course "Good Governance Principles at Local Level", July - August 2010.

The course is based on the 12 good governance principles, formulated in the Strategy for innovation and good governance at local level (Barcelona 2007). The course defines the 12 principles, the legal framework for their application and showcases good practices from Europe, USA and Bulgaria. The online training course consists of five lectures and Final Test.

The course is intended for representatives of the local authorities, NGOs, communal centers, students and journalists, representatives of business that work with municipalities at local level.

The course consists of 5 lessons and a final test. The course graduates will receive a Certificate by FLGR.

By the end of May 2010 ended the FLGR Distance learning course "Good Governance Principles at Local Level".

Here are some of the opinions of the participants in the course:

Mrs. Zdravka Syrakova:

Congratulations to the FLGR Training Center for the well-prepared lessons for the course "Good Governance Principles at Local Level". In my opinion the biggest benefit of course are not even the new knowledge or the receiving of the certificate but thee fact that graduates in the future will have at their disposal well-prepared lessons with appropriate tools and examples - good practices, foreign ones included, for implementing of each principle of good governance.

Thank you also for the fact that the lessons and tests, including the final one, were published with a view to the working schedules of participants, making possible the completion of the course, even with changes in one's working timetable.

Ms. Christina Karamfilova:

I thank FLGR Training Centre for well-prepared lessons for the course "Good Governance Principles at Local Level". Extremely useful and interesting for me were best practices included in the lessons and tutorials themselves. Course itself was consistent with the fact that participants were busy at work. The course did not not violate my work schedule at all.

By the beginning of June 2010 Distance learning course (DLC) "Prevention of the Corruption on Local Level" was completed.

Here are some of the opinions of the participants in the course:

Plamen Sofroniev, Security Manager:

The course was interesting and quite useful. My personal highest assessment goes to the practical tools, presented as part of the course. I believe that with the methodology, even perfect, without the right and proper tools a person (or a team) could not cope with the problems, discussed in the course.

Nikoleta Hristova:

For me it was very pleasing and useful to participate in this initiative. I'll definitely watch for the following courses!
