In occasion of 115-year anniversary of announcing Montana as a Bulgarian city, Municipality of Montana handed a badge of honor to the Foundation for Local Government Reform for its long-term cooperative and valuable work.
On December 1, 2006, at an official ceremony in Montana the Mayor Zlatko Zhivkov handed the badge to Mrs. Ginka Kapitanova, FLGR Executive Director. The Foundation has contributed to developing Municipality of Montana in the field of administration, economy and social sector.
Concrete achievements of the Foundation work with the municipality are: a designed strategy for economic development, the start of the Customer Service Center, construction of children playground in the Village of Smolyanovtsi. In present the Foundation works on Program Forum for Preserving Culture-Historical Heritage in Montana.
This is the second highest reward received by FLGR from a partner municipality. The first one was in 2005 when the Foundation celebrated 10-year anniversary of its establishment. Then it received the Key of City of Veliko Tarnovo from Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo.
