The Foundation for Local Government Reform announced a thematic competition for best practice in the social sphere within the Improving Social Environment Program, funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and LOGIN - International Local Government Information Network. All practices submitted in 2006 to the FLGR on-line data base of innovation practices, Social Activities Directory, participate in the competition.

Visitors of FLGR web page can participate in selecting the winner by voting on-line till December 5, 2006!

Selection criteria for best practice in the social field '2006 are:

- timeliness,
- originality and
- best proportion of costs - results!

The winning practice will be announced on a thematic seminar that is planned to be held on December 8, 2006, by FLGR in Sofia. The author of the practice will receive a modest financial bounty.

In result of the announced competition two awards will be handed: one, for best practice in the social sphere, and the other, on behalf of the voting people.
