The idea for resuming the tradition for yearly conduction of orientation competitions in town was approved at the third session of “Community forum” Program in Belogradchik Municipality. Creating preconditions for orientation camps conduction in Belogradchik by programs elaboration is of a great significance for the town.

Main goal: Enriching the tourist product in Belogradchik by yearly conduction of orientation competitions in town.

Main activities: Elaborating new, contemporary maps for orientation competitions, including modernization of the maps of the area and their drawing; conducting two-day national competition with international participation for "Community forum – Belogradchik 2005" Cup; training of orientation group instructors and referees; orientation training of four groups of 15 children from the three schools in town; elaborating two panorama plots with pictures and descriptions in three languages; elaborating programs for orientation camps conduction in Belogradchik ; constructing orientation range, assisting the training activity and camps conduction.

It was challenged the interest of children and youths from the town and the region towards orientation – sport, developing physics and intellect. Purchased technique and equipment allows the conduction of competitions of any scale. The OCAD 8 installed program for orientation maps processing concedes opportunity for map printing in scale from 1:500 to 1: 500 000.
