The main objective of the project was to establish the library as a community center for acquiring important social and educational knowledge and skills.

The target group of the project were bilingual 30 children up to 10 years of age from the three villages to acquire knowledge of the world around them, to master the Bulgarian language and to acquire skills in the five areas of child development in order to prepare and adapt to the kindergarten and school.
A target group were also 15 parents, supported in developing skills to communicate and play with their children and their parenting capacity.
Activities:
- Within the gaming groups called "Tales in a suitcase", 30 children from the villages of Davidovo, Bayachevo and Ralitsa had the opportunity to listen, read and recite Bulgarian folk tales and tales from world and Bulgarian authors together with their traveling storyteller with a suitcase;
- The children played the “The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats”, they made their own masks and decorations;
- The children made decorations for local libraries for Christmas and Baba Martha Day;
- Smaller children (in pre-school age) played with educational toys from the "Toys Library" and acquired new knowledge and formed skills in the five areas of child development;
- A group visit was organized of the theatre production of "The Wheat Griddle-Cake” of the Puppet Theater in the town of Targovishte;
- Thematic meetings with parents were organized and were devoted to care and education of children, how to communicate and play with them, how to prepare the children for school, how we use the chitalishte library for additional knowledge, etc.;
- A closing event of the project was held to present the activities and results to the local community.
- 30 children participated in the "Tales in a suitcase", conducted in 42 in total classes with the children from the three settlements; children acquired new knowledge and skills; positive attitude in children towards reading was built;
- 6 group meetings with 15 parents were conducted; they received new knowledge about the development of the child in the early age; the commitment of parents was increased to care, welfare and education of their children.
The "Tales in the Suitcase" project reaffirmed the position of the library as a place where children and adults can use the resources to meet and discuss and to develop their skills in use of the Bulgarian language.
