On initiative of the mayor of Botevgrad municipality Georgi Georgiev in year 2004 was established a new dancing band. The band consists mostly of youths of roma origin, selected by a choreographer after audition. A part of the dancers receive training in specialized classes for music or art, where in the curriculum are included choreography classes as a general subject.

After the audition and the selection of all roma youths willing to participate in the band, a commission chose 30 of them 15 girls and 15 boys. Criteria of the selection were: rhythm, height, weight, artistic skills and nice vision.

In 35 days was set the first dance which has elements of both roman and Bulgarian folklore on the music of Two worlds and provokes deep emotions in the public after every stage performance of the dancers.

Two months later by dancer s wish was set a second dance utterly roman, which allowed the dancers to show their musical and rhythmic talents and also their artistic skills and temperament.

On many holidays in Botevgrad municipality is already a tradition for the band to participate and it always brings good mood and enthusiasm to the public.

Roma youth takes part in all the professional holidays of firms and companies on the territory the municipality.

• As a result of the good training, the participations and all the publications in the newspapers for the achievements and concert appearances of dancing band Roma youth and its vocals, every one of the performers attained higher level of professionalism.
• The respect of teachers, parents, friends and relatives stimulates them to look and behave well not only on the stage but in life though. All that make more and more roma youths willing to learn dancing art, music or singing.
• One of the conditions for participation in the band is to attain regularly school classes, to have no low marks or supplementary examinations. Monthly the organizer, trainer and the art instructor check all the school reports.
