In 1995 the National Ethnographic Museum and Studii Romani organised an ethnographic exhibition "Gypsies in old times". The underlying philosophy is that knowing the other is the first step towards accepting, respecting and valueing him/her. The exhibition became a touring one and in the next years was shown in 10 cities; in 1998 it was included in the International Exhibition "Gypsies in Central and Eastern Europe", organised in Budapest, Hungary.

The project of the National Culture Centre Louis Braille aims to create a model for giving access to information to blind young people by using the achievements of information technology the electronic book which transforms information into synthetic speech. For people who have gone blind at later stages of their life the project will develop a coursebook and books with large spacing - the first of this kind for Bulgaria.

The aim of the studies was to collect maximum quantity of data for the cultural sites and monuments of national and historical importance.
